Migdallery, 2023
I established a gallery in the staircase room of the building where I lived, Kiryat Yovel in Jerusalem. The gallery sought to create an extraterritorial space within the neighborhood's fabric, offering a setting for a different kind of encounter that transcends the pace of daily life. It aimed to address sensitive issues and explore questions of identity and sense of place.
The gallery hosted three exhibitions: a solo showcase of my own work, a group exhibition featuring 14 neighborhood artists, and a culminating exhibition highlighting community-based art projects in public spaces. Each opening event attracted dozens of attendees, including neighbors, artists, and friends.
