Soft Shelters 2025

Collaboration with Darya Efrat at Panasim Festival, Givat Haviva

At the heart of a dark period, seven tents unfold as soft points of light—an extraterritorial zone of shelter, concealment, and respite from reality. Inviting fields of light that allow one to sink inward—into dreamlike, intimate, and unknown worlds, both personal and collective.

The audience is invited to enter, settle, linger, and look outward through layers of light-filtering plastic. Inside, a meditative and magical space opens—a space of quiet, play, and wandering within imagination. Through shadows, figures, and projections, participants can animate worlds, invent stories, and invite one another on a shared journey to distant, and sometimes surprisingly familiar, realms.

The tents narrate a state of life—building amid ruin and displacement—as an image of participating in hope, of imagination woven from fragments, from the innocence a child can reawaken in an adult. The gap between dream and reality stands between outside and inside—order and chaos, actuality and fantasy—and through this installation we invite the audience to break boundaries, to question, to interpret, and to dream.
